National Alliance to End Homelessness
The National Alliance to End Homelessness (the “Alliance”) is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the United States. Alliance efforts focus on improving policy, building capacity, and educating opinion leaders. The Alliance also publishes research on the homelessness, including factors that contribute to homelessness and solutions.

Street Sense
Street Sense is a 16-page biweekly newspaper founded in 2003 and sold on the streets of Washington, D.C. Its mission is to raise awareness of homelessness and poverty in the city and to create economic opportunities for people experiencing homelessness.

Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
HUD provides links to local resources for the homeless, such as where to find housing assistance, counseling services, food and health care.

Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness
Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness has data about homelessness in Washington, D.C., including statistics on the number of homeless and information on their circumstances.

Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments helps compile this data for the region.
