Mini-Walk Information

Tuesday, September 8 -- Sunday, November 8: Mini-Walks must be held between this timeframe.

Friday, October 23, 2009:
Deadline for registering a Mini-Walk.

The Help the Homeless Program invites schools, community-based organizations, and faith-based organizations in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia to host Mini-Walks. These walks primarily engage young people, but teachers, staff, parents, and other adults connected to the schools and the organizations hosting the walks are welcome to register and participate.

Schools planning to hold a Mini-Walk must send in a Mini-Walk Commitment Form at least two weeks before the planned walk and no later than October 23, 2009. The Help the Homeless Program pairs each school with a Beneficiary Organization that works with its assigned school to plan and conduct Mini-Walks and educational presentations.
